Directions to APACHE LAKE RESORT & MARINA from Tempe/Phoenix area:

1. US-60 E toward Globe – (22 mi)

2. Take exit 196 for AZ-88 E/Idaho Rd (0.4 mi)

3. Turn left onto S Idaho Rd (2.3 mi)

4. Slight right onto AZ-88 E/N Apache Trail (31.0 mi) –
You will first pass by Canyon Lake then you will pass Tortilla Flats. Soon after Tortilla Flats the paved road will turn into a dirt road for approximately the last 7 miles to Apache Lake Marina & Resort.  Use caution as road can be bumpy & narrow with some sharp corners in certain areas.

5. Turn left onto N Fr79/Srv Rd 79 (1.0 mi) –
You will see the monument sign for Apache Lake Marina & Resort.

6. Keep right at the fork (0.3 mi) –
You will see the Registration/Restaurant building. Park and come inside to purchase your show tickets and get any information you need on camping and/or motels.

camping and lodging

Camping:  Camping within Apache Lake Marina and Resort is all primitive camping, meaning that they do not have designated campsites. There are plenty of camping spots for everyone, but early arrival is recommended to secure prime lakeside locations. There are indoor bathrooms and showers available to all campers. Please remember to bring trash bags and use the on-site garbage cans and dumpsters to keep the camping areas clean. Remember to LEAVE NO TRACE behind. Camping within the resort grounds requires a daily $10 parking pass which can be purchased in the main building at the front desk or convenience store. This pass also covers launch ramp access and boat trailer parking.

RV: There are 27 single spaced units available and include Water, Sewer, and Electricity. Call the Resort to reserve spaces at 928-467-2511.

Hotel: Apache Lake Resort & Marina has 52 rooms available. All rooms are air conditioned and have cable. Smoking rooms are available. Minimum stay requirement of 2 nights. Call the Resort to reserve rooms at 928-467-2511. 

Parking:  Parking is in designated areas and not directly on camping sites but the lots are a very short walk to most camping sites.
